If the van loaded with servers went to an h2o treatment plant, there is likely heavy bases and acids at the plant.
Literal acid wash of hard drives ? Seems like burning them in a furnace would work better.
Maybe they have an oven that would melt aluminum and circuits. Lots of pollution though so maybe dunk the memory sticks in sulfuric acid?
