Billy Oskins is Missing! Please Help!
My father, Billy Oskins, went missing around July 4th, 2014 after having lived in the same place for at least 17 years (Sunland, California).
Many, many people love Billy and have helped me greatly in my search for him. For those already helping and new people, I am creating this list of details to help narrow down options and reduce duplicated efforts. I will say upfront that there are many options that I have not included on this list for any number of reasons, such as hearsay and unsubstantiated rumors, but people can always contact with tips and I will follow up as best as I can.

I last saw my dad myself on June 29th, 2014. Sunday, July 6th, 2014, I went to meet him at a church in Sunland, like I usually did every week, but i could not find him there, or anywhere else where he would normally be that i checked. I figured that I just had missed him.
When i went to meet him on the following Sunday, July 13th, at the same church, people there told me that he had not been seen anywhere since around July 4th, and a couple of people told me separately that they thought Bill had been staying with me at my place.
I immediately became worried, and I checked with the Coroner and 3 local hospitals the next morning both under his name and for John Doe's. There were (and are) no matches.
I also filed a Missing Person Report for Billy. The DR # (Case #) is 1416 11359. The Detective was upfront that they do not go out with bloodhounds to look for people, but simply enter names into a system, and if a match comes up, they inform the person who made the report. They have a system called the MR and they can tell if Billy has any interaction with police for any reason, and will tell me- he has not.
In November, the police called me in for a cheek swab for DNA to put into their system.
Since his disappearance, Billy hasn't been seen in Sunland, Tujunga, Shadow Hills, etc. He has not been seen not in any of the places he used to hang out, even long ago, such as Tujunga Canyon, Sunland Park, the Pink Motel, the KFC on Foothill Blvd., etc.
FACTS
After his disappearance, a bicycle that Billy borrowed from someone was found in Shadow Hills, California.
July 6th, 2014, a man who lived in Shadow Hills claimed while speaking to me that he gave my father a tent the night before, on July 5th, and then Billy left and never returned. The tent was found in Sunland.
In mid-August, 2014, I spoke to a woman in Shadow Hills (who told me that she lives in Littlerock) who told me that she had Billy's phone and that she would return it to me. About a week later, a man that she knew returned my dad's phone to me in Shadow Hills. Now that i have my dad's phone, i can see some of the people he contacted most, some of the people he contacted last before he went missing, and see some the calls made after he went missing. I can also call people in his contact list to see if they have seen or heard from him, or if they have heard anything about him at all, as well as ask them to please ask around and help.
Billy's VA Disability money was always deposited into his Bank of America account on the 1st of each month (about $1,100). He always used the same branch for banking, and I have his bank account checked, and there has been no activity since July 1st, 2014, right before he went missing.
In July, before he disappeared, all of his money was withdrawn, however, nothing has been withdrawn since.
Billy's VA Disability check in his bank account has been untouched since he disappeared, and is still sitting there.
No matter where Billy was, he would want his money.
[Because i mentioned that Billy received VA Disability, some people have asked whether he had dementia, Alzheimer's, schizophrenia, etc. He did not. He did not discuss his reason for disability, but i always assumed that it was PTSD or a result of physical issues, such as his hip, etc.]
