Smaller websites won't have the resources to monitor posts, and are more liable to be done in by lawsuits. Big tech, with assets to be able to develop legal strategy while still banning, rides on to become more of a monopoly.
Solution is to enforce the law. For example, twitter by it's actions can't claim it's a content provider. They should be able to be sued for censorship. Same old same old of not enforcing the law.
With Trump, he may be looking at the bigger picture here, which is repealing (or whatever the correct process is) NYT vs Sullivan. He wants all media liable for slander/libel.
