18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666."
Both "this calls for wisdom" and the number of a man 666 both point to King Solomon. He was famous for his wisdom and is the only man in the bible with the number 666 associated with him. He is the one many thought Jesus was the re-incarnation of and he had a throne set at his right hand for his mother, just as Catholics have done with Mary. He thought God meant him as the one to build a temple and and built the first temple, but Gods temple is the body.
