Noted that in the October172020, 20/20 Episode aired about John Lennon his life and legacy. 2hour program - almost exactly one hour in they mention:

(referring to the shooting of Lennon)

again at the point in the program where there was 37 minutes remaining:

And they spoke of the 10 minutes of silence observed around the World where people everywhere simply stopped …

I think they were referring to the way suddenly people seemed to all be thinking the same thing and held no malice toward anyone.

But I also note that they repeated several times their determination toNOT SAY THE NAMEof the killer instead referring to him in other ways.
