Have you started organizing this?
Where?
Much encouragement, anon.
Consider a few points.
-
The basis for mandating mass-mask wearing is super fragile and can not stand. The science leans heavily against such mandates, as you are prolly fully aware.
-
The mandates directly interfere with at least three key human rights. Key in that these are essentials and so there is overlap.
A. Bodily integrity. Coercion used with the mandate is not justified when balancing public health vs individual autonomy. The efficacy of this type of mandate has not been demonstrated in stopping the spread of RONA. So there is no real contest between conflicting interests/rights.
B. Freedom of expression. The wearing of masks is a political expression of a political sentiment. Fear is a feeling, not a reason, to quash individual rights. Likewise, mask wearing has become a political expression of fearmongering that depends on government solving our most personal problems; in this instance the personal problem of fear is promulagated by that government and is reinforced by mass mask wearing and so folds onto itself.
C. Religious freedom. Mask-wearing, and other supposedly anti-RONA behaviors, have become mystic rituals based on what amounts to a supersitious belief in the powers of symbols like masks and rubbing solvents on the hands. These are weak mimicries of actual religious rituals but are as such sacreligious to believers in those actual rituals. Further, for those who'd partake of these anti-RONA rituals and symbolism, it is beyond their authority to force others to conform and partake in religious or religious-like or even sacreligious exercises and behaviors. Freedom to exercise and to not exercise such rituals is a fundamental liberty in our constitutonal order.
In each of these instances, A to C, there is strong case for exemption from any mask-wearing mandate re RONA. The extraordinary power to force an individual against their bodily integrity, agaisnt their freedom of expression, and against their freedom of creed – that extraordianry power requires extraordinary justification.
Which takes us back to the harm done to the well-being of the community and to the individual that is foisted on us by the mask-wearing rituals that are being promoted in the name of stopping the spread of RONA. This does not stop that spread and so is used for conformity to something else. Something more sinister. And that, too, presents real harm to the community. This shows there is not balancing between public health and individual well-being and rights. It is a one-side assault by government on the basis, the fundamentals, from which arise the duty of government to protect our liberties and freedoms.
Thanks for the no mask day idea. Let ANONS know what you are organizing and where so it can be witnessed, encouraged, participated in.
