pure speculation: we are not dealing with a party line anymore this is about right vs wrong, for some reason i think his lawyer celebrity would appeal to liberal minded people, and this might draw them out to listen more to what is being said about the fraud. not saying he is dirty or clean, but we know republicans are dirty in this and maybe he is just the person chosen to root them out and show the hypocrisy.
