Lenovo was/is the original Huawei. Remember when Lenovo got caught installing compromised certs on their laptops that allowed for man-in-the-middle attacks on encrypted/secure web traffic?

An interesting idea, but millions of lines of hardware an software instructions are the perfect place to hide things. Even the most seasoned engineer/developer might miss a well designed and orchestrated backdoor implementation in code review.
