Considering that a plane landed on a highway and hit an SUV didn't do 1/3 the damage this crash did - makes you wonder why the extreme fire. Accelerant?
Was part of the firefighting crew on a US Naval vessel. Training in Yokosuka, the filled a pit with 500 gallons of diesel and the 100 gallons of gasoline (I don't remember the Navy names for the fuel) but the gas was ignited (it floats on diesel) and the the diesel ignited.
We then got to step over the parapet wall and rescue the 'helo pilots'
