Wouldn't you think that if people were really concerned about catching Covid from someone who wasn't wearing a mask, that a person would want to stay 6 feet away from that person, not go up to them with a mask and say "here is a mask for you to wear"? Imagine if people had leprosy? No one would go near that person to hand them a mask.
