"Exceptional" Meteor Blast Triggers Shockwave and Seismic Shaking, 'Minimoon' Hurtles Past Earth

WTF! was this reported on 8kun anytime in the past 4 days?

the weird thing is there is NO MENTION of it on spaceweather site

https://spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=02&month=12&year=2020

not on the "all sky fireball network."

duh! watch the YT video yourself. something was seen and reported across ny, oh, and canada. but the space folks did NOT report it as a meteor. so either the space folks were asleep at the switch, or it was something other than a meteor.

>It was mentioned when it happened

thx, anon. i missed it. and i did not find it when i searched.

so… no one has a tin-foil hat theory about it? i find it very unusual that both spaceweather and the all sky fireball network both missed reporting it. maybe the ASFN missed it because they normally scan the night sky and it was a daylight event. but it ought to have been added to the NEA list on spaceweather.
