Nice, it's right up my alley.

So…If Earth's evolutionary history is used as a guide for explaining the rise of a consciousness in the universe…There is an immense period of time during a rocky planet's formation where there isn't much happening apart from geological processes.

How would a 'young' universe be self aware without sentient beings/animal life providing a vehicle for consciousness?

Is consciousness during this time confined to the spiritual realm…just waiting for life to reach a point in the physical where it can manifest in a body that's capable of thought?

In some strange way I want to believe that rocks and trees are 'alive' …similar to the Gaia hypotheses.

Can these things that we don't traditionally assume are conscious contain some sort of awareness? It might help explain the co-evolution of life in both realms, especially during the early years.

Don't be so depresso.

What's wrong with Christmas?

so you discovered a pagan holiday that shares some of the same ideas…

Doesn't mean that we can't celebrate the birth of the Master of Love, Jesus.

Get together with your family and have a nice meal with presents and drinks.

Nothing wrong with that.

This is worth appreciating.

If they find the machines have been scrubbed…it's damning. If they find a squiffy algorithm…it's damning.

Hopefully those cyber warfare guys that gave testimony at the senate hearings can tear these machines apart and find some rock solid evidence of fraud.
