In watching the vid in Arizona of the Patriots standing today, I noticed a woman holding up a crucifix next to the speaker at the time. I was immediately struck by the fact that this was not an ordinary cross, this was a crucifix for extreme unction. Extreme unction is a sacrament of the Catholic Church, instituted for the spiritual and physical help of the sick, to whom it is administered by anointing them on various parts of the body with holy oil blessed by the bishop, accompanied by various prayers which express the purpose and meaning of these anointings. It is used to administer last rights to a dying Catholic. Her cross has a lid and a chamber inside with the basics things needed for a visit from a priest. A small bottle for holy water, and candles. The clergy brings the other necessary items for the anointing. The crucifix can hang on the wall as well as rest in the set. I thought it was an appropriate cross to bring, because it sure feels like the Republic is on its death bed if we don't stand and fight for it.

Kek! This anon is lucky, in a medical state with a card. Which by the way, still gets me every time when I smoke on my front porch, and have plants in my backyard, after 40+ years of doing my own hiding.
