From my personal observation I saw that often government and politics are influenced by a Non-governmental organizations, so to say or "Think Tanks"
Some Q&A from the google
What exactly is a think tank?
-Think tank, institute, corporation, or group organized for interdisciplinary research with the objective of providing advice on a diverse range of policy issues and productsthrough the use of specialized knowledge and the activation of networks.
How does a think tank work?
-Members of a think tank spend their time researching problems they see facing the world and innovating new solutions to fix them.
Think tanks do not create policy, but rather, bring new ideas and solutions to the table to enable change.
They publish reports and research in order to help better inform policy decisions
Many are not aware, butthose same people are often granted special places in the Media organizations. They are often are first ones who brings their "opinion" on to the table and spread them onto the masses. Like for eg.: Progressivism, Socialism, Green "ideas", Minority rights and many others.
Also those same groups are influenced by the other non-governmental organizations and/or "foundations" (Like Open Society Foundation, Soros International House and many others), they gladly accept their donations and support.
So they create this "network" where their agenda spreads rapidly and are often like "shadow government" which operates openly, but nobody knows what exactly they are doing.
I sometimes ask myself a question, how so many states adapt the "same" ideas, like how are they are so coordinated in "buying same voting machines" / "adapting same policies" / "following same agendas"?
And I think those agendas are generated in "think tanks" and through wide network of connections spreads to other governments,Local and Foreign.
