The Worlds Fastest Indian IS a great uplifting movie, but not really sure what exactly is being suggested relative to Yeager. Yeager, a brave man chosen to sit in the hot seat and daring enough to do so…. the craft was still the product of an immense professional effort of design, engineering and support.
What Anthony Hopkins depicted about Burt Monro was wholly different. Burt was a unique individual working alone… he created a set of circumstances contained almost entirely within his own head…. and risked his own skin, on his own ideas. The kind of feats of skill and bravery as rare as an individual… likely never to be exactly repeated nor bettered exactly the same.
If anything, what might be groked by a contrast of Munro and Yeager… one shows the value of protecting the individual (to have a chance to do such wonderful things)… and thus when a group of individuals ‘get together’ (Yeager AND Crew) can do when enjoying a place protecting individuals.
Just my thoughts
