Pennsylvania Dems Respond to Justice Alito Arguing – Despite Historically Rampant Election Fraud Don’t Do Anything Because No One Else Ever Has

This morning, per an order from Justice Alito, the Democrats running the fraudulent election in Pennsylvania responded to a case from a couple Republicans in the state. Their response was baffling.

Before the election, Judge Alito demanded that Democrats set aside all ballots that came in after the Election day deadline of 8pm (the time the polls close in Pennsylvania):

But it appeared that the state ignored his order and accepted ballots after the election and we don’t know if any were segregated. If the ballots were segregated, they were not reviewed by Republicans during the chain of custody because Democrats in the Pennsylvania forcefully did not permit Republicans their right to observe activities during the election counting process.

A lawsuit ensued from two Pennsylvania Republicans where they argued that the election went against Pennsylvania law, especially when mail-in ballots were received and counted after the election deadline. Lawyers representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on Tuesday morning filed court papers before U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito to oppose a lawsuit filed by U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, a Republican from that state who zealously supports President Donald Trump. Kelly’s lawsuit argues that Pennsylvania’s supreme court violated the U.S. Constitution when it failed to rule recently that state election law violated the Pennsylvania constitution. In Kelly’s view, Pennsylvania’s bipartisan decision to expand the use of mail-in ballots via a 2019 law known as Act 77 conflicts with more narrow absentee voter provisions contained in the state constitution. In summary, Kelly’s case seeks basically to flip the election in Trump’s favor in Pennsylvania.

U.S. Adds Nigeria to List of Worst Violators of Religious Freedom

The U.S. State Department designated Nigeria for the first time as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) on Monday, the short list of the world’s worst violators of religious freedom.

Under the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998, countries are designated as CPCs for engaging in or tolerating “systematic, ongoing egregious violations of religious freedom,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo noted in Monday’s press release.

This designation makes offending countries liable to U.S. sanctions at the discretion of the executive branch of government, including the suspension of foreign aid, trade restrictions, or loan prohibitions.

Nigeria joins Burma, China, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, which were re-designated as CPCs, Pompeo said.

The State Department also designated several international terrorist organizations as “entities of Particular Concern,” namely al-Shabaab, al-Qa’ida, Boko Haram, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the Houthis, ISIS, ISIS-Greater Sahara, ISIS-West Africa, Jamaat Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin, and the Taliban.

Two terrorist groups — al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula and ISIS-Khorasan — were removed from the list “due to the total loss of territory formerly controlled by these terrorist organizations.”

“While these two groups no longer meet the statutory criteria for designation, we will not rest until we have fully eliminated the threat of religious freedom abuses by any violent extremist and terrorist groups,” the press release said.

“The U.S. is unwavering in its commitment to religious freedom,” Secretary Pompeo stated on Twitter when announcing the new designations. “No country or entity should be allowed to persecute people with impunity because of their beliefs. These annual designations show that when religious freedom is attacked, we will act.”

Pompeo also announced sanctions for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for its suppression of freedoms in Hong Kong.

“The U.S. is sanctioning the senior leadership of China’s National People’s Congress in connection with developing, adopting, and implementing the National Security Law,” Pompeo wrote. “We will hold Beijing accountable for destroying Hong Kong’s autonomy.”

Chinese Mining Companies Destroy Roads, Pollute Towns in Zimbabwe

Villagers in Makwa, Zimbabwe, have expressed outrage at Chinese mining companies for damaging a town road so severely that it has been described as a “death trap,” the New Zimbabwe reported Sunday.

Villagers have also alleged that the companies are polluting the town’s bodies of water and otherwise ravaging the locals’ quality of life, the outlet noted.

Chinese mining companies have damaged the Deka Road, which connects various parts of Zimbabwe including the popular tourist destination Victoria Falls, so much so that a man reportedly died recently after driving over a pothole and flipping his vehicle.

“Villagers from Mashala and Simangani wards depend on the road and soon will be weaned off the whole district because soon the road will become totally unsafe to use,” one villager named Fortune Mwembe told the New Zimbabwe. “The road is now dangerous and might cause accidents.”

Village leader Rosemary Shoko told the local media outlet that the community is extremely concerned about the road, especially as so few people are benefiting from the work of those companies. Another issue is the damage and pollution done to the local environment as effluent enters the rivers, affecting the safety of fish stocks.

“The road was destroyed by mining companies that operate in the area,” she said. “What worries people is that our resources are being destroyed yet only less than 10 percent of locals are employed by those companies. They are causing pollution, livestock and fish are dying on a daily basis. Soon we will be an island because of the lack of road.”

“Fish is the source of employment for our people as every family has a member who does fishing along the Zambezi River and Deka. Livelihoods will be affected,” Shoko continued.

Amid rising anger over the situation, villagers have demanded that the town’s authorities and representative in parliament take concrete action to resolve the issue. Should they fail to act, locals have warned they may resort to vigilante justice, though they have not specified any particular action.

The incident is the latest in a long line of problems caused by Chinese companies operating in Zimbabwe as Beijing aggressively capitalizes on the country’s rich natural resources and its troubled economy to advance its own economic, political, and military aims. Such campaigns are typically marketed under the guise of the “Belt and Road Initiative,” China’s supposed global infrastructure and development strategy.

Anger over the behavior of Chinese companies has risked boiling over in recent months not just with regards to environmental standards, but also to their treatment of local workers. In June, the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) pledged to launch a global campaign against Chinese involvement in Zimbabwe should their companies continue failing to adhere to basic workers’ rights.

Tensions over labor conditions were highlighted in July when a Zimbabwean worker was shot and seriously wounded by his Chinese employer following a heated dispute over wages. The man has since initiated legal proceedings in the hope of receiving compensation.

In September, Zimbabwe’s socialist president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, took the unprecedented step of banning all mining from national parks amid concerns that it was threatening various endangered species. The Chinese embassy in Harare claimed to welcome the new regulation as it provided clarity on the limits of their mining activity.

As all of the corruption comes to the surface of how the Trump campaign had been illegally spied upon, Ex-FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith’s legal team is pleading with a judge not to send him to jail for lying to secure surveillance orders against President Trump’s 2016 campaign adviser Carter Page.

In August, Clinesmith agreed to plead guilty to making false statements when he doctored an email submitted as evidence to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

The discovery was made by US Attorney for Connecticut John Durham’s team reviewing the FBI’s Russia investigation.

The disgraced attorney faces up to five years in jail, though sentencing guidelines reportedly call for a maximum of six months behind bars.

Clinesmith’s legal team claimed in court papers that he “cut a corner” because he was overworked and “exhausted.”

“In short, when Kevin altered the email in June 2017, he was spread thin and exhausted at work and in his personal life,” his legal team said.

US District Judge James Boasberg is expected to hand down Clinesmith’s sentence on Thursday.

Pfizer and Moderna SNUB Trump's White House vaccine summit Tuesday after he accused them of holding back good news until after the election

The heads of Pfizer and Moderna turned down an invitation to appear at Tuesday's White House 'Vaccine Summit,' after President Donald Trump charged them with holding back good COVID-19 vaccine news until after the November 3 election.

STAT reported Monday that Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla and Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel had been invited to appear in Washington and declined.

A senior administration official explained that in the early planning stages of the Tuesday event they wanted to include the pharmaceutical heads, but decided Dr. Peter Marks, the leader of the Food and Drug Administration's biologics center, would be a better guest.

According to the official, Marks could not appear at the same event as the company CEOs while their vaccines are under review.

'We were in discussions with them in the planning process for participation, ultimately the determination was when we had Dr. Peter Marks of the FDA participating, there was a change in direction in light of the fact that we have the regulator participating in the event, it was more appropriate not to have one or more vaccine companies with pending applications before the FDA also participating in that event,' the senior administration official said.

The president is expected to take credit for the quick development of vaccines through Operation Warp Speed at the summit, as well as pressure the FDA to quickly approve an emergency use authorization for both companies' products.

Some Federal Reserve officials are calling for tougher banking regulations in order to prevent the Fed’s low interest rate policy from leading investors to take “excessive” risks that will create asset bubbles. The Fed is understandably worried that these bubbles will burst leading to another market meltdown. However, the boom-and-bust cycle will not end because regulators stop investors from taking “excessive” risks. Almost every bubble and economic downturn America has experienced over the past 107 years was caused by the Federal Reserve’s manipulation of the money supply.

The Federal Reserve’s actions artificially lower interest rates, thus distorting the signals sent by the rates, which are the price of money. Artificially low interest rates cause investments to be made in projects that are not supported by the real underlying market conditions. This results in a boom, inevitably followed by a crash, then by a new round of money creation and government bailouts restarting the cycle.

Increased regulations will not just fail to head off the next crash, they will make the next recession worse. Federal regulators are not capable of determining what is “excessive” risk. Instead, that determination is best left to market participants. Regulators are subject to having the same Fed-induced distorted view of the marketplace as nearly everyone else. Thus, regulators may mistake a growing asset bubble as a thriving sector of the economy that will serve as a long-term source of growth. This is especially the case if, as with the housing bubble, government policies such as the Community Reinvestment Act encourage the malinvestments. Also, regulators may impede the growth of businesses that are actually responding to real economic conditions instead of Fed-created illusions.

Support among the people, if not among the financial and political elites, for auditing and even ending the Fed, as well as for cryptocurrencies and precious metals, suggests we may soon reach what Ludwig von Mises referred to as the “crack-up.” The crack-up occurs when enough people realize that continuous expanding of the money supply, and the accompanying decline in a currency’s purchasing power, is a feature of central banking. Therefore, they spend their money as soon as they get it, accelerating the rise of hyperinflation.

Beijing has announced plans to expand its weather modification capabilities dramatically to allow the country to control precipitation across an area equivalent to 5.5 million square kilometres using “breakthroughs in fundamental research and R&D in key technologies.” But should other nations see this development as a threat?

China’s State Council, the highest organ of state administration in the People’s Republic, issued an intriguing statement on its official English-language website last week, indicating that a policy circular has been advanced calling for the creation of a massive weather control system covering an area nearly one-and-a-half times the size of India by 2025.

“The total area of artificial rainfall (snowfall) operation will reach beyond 5.5 million square kilometres, and for hail suppression it should go beyond 580,000 square kilometres,” the release, which summarized the circular’s goals, indicated.

“By 2035, China’s weather modification should arrive at a worldwide advanced level in terms of operation, technologies, and services,” the statement added, without clarifying whether this meant China was planning a global weather control capabilities, or to bring its competency to the level of other nations in this area.

In any event, the State Council envisages that its weather modification tools will assist in the prevention of droughts and hail storms, support zoning work in centres of agricultural production, assist in emergency response to deal with things such as forest fires, and normalise “working plans for regions in need of ecological protection and restoration".

The concept of using technology to affect weather is not new, and has been around for well over a century. Democrat Proposes Tying $1,500 Stimulus Checks To COVID Vaccinations

With Democrats and Republicans still stuck at an impasse on stimulus negotiations, one Maryland Congressman and erstwhile presidential candidate named John Delaney has engineered a novel strategy for killing two birds with one stone: dispersing another round of stimulus funds, while ensuring that enough Americans consent to receiving the vaccine that the US can quickly top the roughly 70% immunity threshold at which point scientists believe the vaccine will stop propagating.

And that plan is: Offering Americans a $1,500 "incentive payment" to acquiesce to receiving both doses of the vaccine. Delaney argued that the plan would benefit all Americans, even those who still refuse, because it might help the country crush the virus more quickly.

"The faster we get 75% of this country vaccinated, the faster we end Covid and the sooner everything returns to normal," Delaney said in an interview with CNBC.com.

To be sure, Delaney's plan has virtually zero chance of becoming law. Republicans and Democrats can't even seem to agree on basic things like the size of the package ($600BN or $900BN) and whether businesses deserve a liability shield to stop them from being sued by people claiming to have been infected in their establishment (GOP leader Mitch McConnell sees this as a must). President Trump recently promised Americans that the vaccine wouldn't be mandatory.

Delaney initially conceived of the scheme as a workaround for the widespread public skepticism about the vaccine. While recent opinion polls show that the number of Americans planning to get the vaccine as soon as it's available has been on the upswing, more than 40% of the population either has already been infected, doesn't see any urgent need for a vaccine, or simply doesn't trust the data.

US states looking to obtain Covid-19 vaccines are being asked to give extensive details on jab recipients to the Centers for Disease Control – data many worry is ripe for abuse – according to the contract they’re required to sign.

Several states have balked when confronted with the CDC’s Data Use and Sharing Agreement (DUA), which they are asked to sign in order to receive their allotment of any Covid-19 vaccine approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The agreement requires the state or territory to turn over the names, addresses, birthdates, and ethnic profiles of jab recipients – and gives the CDC a disturbingly free hand to do what it wishes with that information.

The agency has tried to downplay the volume of information it is demanding from states, explaining in the DUA that it “has sought minimally necessary data elements for the public health purposes,” forgoing such juicy bits as “social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, or passport numbers.” While admitting that further information could be collected from jab recipients in the future, the CDC insists “any changes to the data elements will be in consultation with” local governments.

Turkey threatens ‘grave consequences’ after east Libyan forces seize its ship over alleged arms smuggling

Ankara has condemned the seizure of a Turkish vessel in the Mediterranean by forces from east Libya, promising a robust response to the interception and calling for the ship to be allowed to continue its journey.

“Targeting Turkish interests in Libya will have grave consequences, and these elements (who target Turkish interests) will be viewed as legitimate targets,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The ministry “strongly condemned” the move, stressing that the vessel should be allowed resume its planned voyage “immediately,” and adding that the ship had been fined and the crew detained.

The Jamaican-flagged cargo ship ‘Mabruka’ was towed to the port of Ras al-Hilal, east of Benghazi, after being intercepted by the Libyan National Army (LNA) on Monday, as it made its way to Libya’s western port of Misrata.

Footage posted to social media appeared to show LNA soldiers intercepting the ship, which was reportedly seized over fears that it was transporting arms into western Libya.

LNA spokesperson Ahmed Al-Mismari said that the ship’s crew comprised nine Turkish nationals, seven Indians, and one Azerbaijani. He claimed that the vessel was “being investigated for its violations of maritime laws and regulations” after it entered a restricted area.

Turkey is a key foreign supporter of Libya’s interim Government of National Accord (GNA) in the west of the country, which has long been fighting the LNA, backed by Egypt, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates. On Tuesday Al-Mismari accused Turkey of arming the GNA with mercenaries and weapons, among other supplies.

In October, the LNA and GNA agreed to a ceasefire and have since been encouraged by the UN to engage in talks so that elections can take place next year in a bid to end the conflict.

World Economic Forum moves from Davos to Singapore as pandemic continues to sweep across Europe

Covid-19 has forced the World Economic Forum (WEF) to move from Davos to Singapore next year. The event will mark only the second time in two decades the key annual business meeting has not taken place in Switzerland.

Political and business leaders will convene in Singapore for the Special Annual Meeting 2021 from 13-16 May, the organizers of the event said in a statement on Monday. However, they plan to return the forum to Switzerland in 2022.

“The change in location reflects the Forum’s priority of safeguarding the health and safety of participants and the host community,” the statement reads. It added that the meeting will be the “first global leadership event to address worldwide recovery from the pandemic.”

It was previously announced that the date of the forum had been pushed back from its usual January slot, to May. In October, the organizers said that they would change the location of the meeting but were still planning to hold it in Switzerland. Instead of the Alpine ski resort of Davos, the WEF was set to take place in Lucerne-Buergenstock.

The shift could be a painful blow for Davos, as the gathering of global political and business elites is usually the biggest source of income for some local businesses. A study by researchers at the University of St. Gallen estimated that in 2017 the WEF generated revenue of around 60 million francs ($66 million) for the municipality, and about two million francs in local tax revenue.
