ACLU lawyer Phil Mayor accuses Repubs at TCF of "vicious and racial harrassment"
12-8-2020
from Michigan Senate Hearing on election fraud today.
Mayor says he has 30 affadavits from people at the COBO/TCF Center, mostly from Nov 4.
Summary of his remarks:
"After widespread reporting about the events at TCF on Nov 4" ACLU atty's began contacting election challengers & poll workers [so these are NOT people who came forth on their own]. They they COMPILED 30 "mutully corrobrating affadavits."
[so they SELECTED ones to present - based on what, I wonder?]
"Some of the affiants would have liked to testify here today but we actually had to advise them not to" due to the fact that "other legislators received death threats" after providing " 'balanced accounts' of what happened at the TCF Center."
Four themes:
None…saw any midconduct, fraud, or impropriety by co-workers. Quite the contrary, poll workers patiently explained what they were doing….
Every single affiant witnessed rude and aggressive conduct by Republican challengers and challengers affiliated with the EIF….they asked q's of and…"screaming" at line staff not supervisors, taking photos & video, violating social distancing rules, and congregating around poll workers. "Numerous affiants commented on the disturbing racial dynamic of almost all white challengers acting disrespecfully towards and endangering the health of majority black election workers. Several affiants described the atmosphere as feeling like a plantation."
Every single affiant witnessed an equal number of Repubs and Dems in the counting room on Nov 4.
Most distressing[ly], Repub and EIF challengers systematically sought to disenfranchise Detroit voters without lawful cause. [more]
Most affiants were present on the afternoon of Nov. 4. Claims that it was then that "the attempt to disenfranchise voters and intimate poll workers accelerated."
Characterizes the behavior of challengers as "vicious and racial harrassment."
Says if there is anything to investigate at TCF, it's the conduct of "aggressive, ill informed and lawless challengers."

QUESTIONS BY SENATORS
Lucido questions Mayor:
Affadavits - given in person or by phone?
>By phone except for one.
Did ACLU have a stake in the outcome?
>ACLU- involved in the "election protection program, a non-partisan effort".
Was Mayor there at the Center?
>for 2 hours on Wed the 4th.
What did you witness?
>equal number of Repub and Dem challengers; an "orderly process."
Sen. McBroom questions Mayor:
[suggests that challengers may have started challenging every single ballot because none of their challenges was being acted upon]
What action should be taken for a proper challenge?
>affadavits implied that ballots were being improperly challenged (bc good for impending lawsuit)
-
Observations:
Mayor summarized affadavits, did not speak of his own experience.
He READ everything directly from his paper. Never went 'off script'.
Stiff, wooden rendition - not compelling.
This guy is an obvious activist.

>ACLU Activist Phil Mayor
Yes, projecting - but doing it PUBLICLY to create confusion among the public. Notice how carefully it was done - they contacted sympathetic poll workers and then selected the 30 affadavits that would best fulfill their narrative. Affiants discouraged from directly testifying, supposedly due to "death threats." Real truth is that they are mostly likely lying or exaggerating greatly. If they actually gave in-person stmts, they'd probably mess up.
Lawyer claims that they WANTED to come forward but ACLU didn't recommend it. Poor affiants got death threats! No like Repubs, who have been treated with such deference and respect by the Left.

ACLU STATEMENT ON SECURE, TRANSPARENT, AND ACCURATE ELECTION IN MICHIGAN
DECEMBER 1, 2020
Regarding the Michigan Senate Oversight Committee’s hearing:
“The Nov. 3 Election in Michigan was secure and accurate, and every eligible vote cast has been counted. Today’s state Senate Oversight hearing only sows distrust in our electoral system.
“During a pandemic, poll workers, election officials, and community members courageously rose to the task to hold a fair and transparent election. More than 5.5 million Michiganders cast ballots in this election — one of the most secure and successful elections in our state’s history.
“The people of Michigan have made their voices heard loud and clear: The outcome of the election has been decided.”
