Cornwall Council will keep its office in Brussels after the Brexit transition period
Cornwall Council has had a base in Brussels for several years and currently shares the cost with the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership and Combined Universities in Cornwall.
The contract for the office was last tendered in 2019 and was valued at £240,000 for two years. The council says that the current cost of the office is £80,000 a year.
Cllr German said: "The office in Brussels, I can confirm that we still have that and we share the cost with the local enterprise partnership and Cornwall universities.

SAGE calls for Christmas to be cancelled in favour of a midsummer holiday instead
SAGE has called on the government to cancel the Christmas holiday period, and instead replace it with a midsummer break.
The scientific advisory group says that the country's coronavirus infections rates will rise in January unless the festive period is scrapped.
It has also said that there is a 'strong case' that London is at risk of entering Tier 3 next week, The Mirror reports.
The group said: “It should be stressed that if everybody chooses to take advantage of the three-household rule, there is a very serious danger of a third wave of the pandemic.”
For anybody who does decide to take advantage of the eased restrictions Indie SAGE say a “pandemic fuel allowance” should be laid on, to cover heating bills so families can keep windows and doors open during Christmas.
“I think there should be a pandemic fuel allowance so every family – including poorer families – can keep the windows open and keep warm.”

I personally would like to see us become a "proper" constitutional republic, monarchies are such an antiquated system that has a lifetime appointment of head of state, as Q said, how long in power, with power comes corruption, the US is going to have problems with the Supreme court justices being lifetime appointments as well.
Many of my friends are very pro royals and will not entertain the fact they can be part of this dark system that is being exposed, they are going to be in for a big shock, I, for one, must find out what happened to Diana and Dodi.
The Brexit debacle was proof that she is no longer fit to reign, she stood back and watched this country tear itself apart with division and hatred, she could have AT ANY POINT made one comment that would have stopped the destruction and devastation within our society. It would not have been political interference to stand up and say the referendum result must be carried out, but of course we know she is part of that malevolent evil machinery that encompasses the EU.
Personally, we need our constitution simplified like the US version is, it needs to be taught to school children so that they know their rights. We need protection from government and our free speech back, we need 'hate' laws abolished,

Greece accuses charities of helping human traffickers to smuggle migrants
Greece has accused seven charities, including one based in London, of colluding with human traffickers who are putting at risk the lives of migrants trying to reach Europe.
Notis Mitarachi, the Greek minister for migration, told The Times that the charities formed part of a network stretching from Somalia to Britain in which smugglers moved refugees illegally. Greek officials suspect the charities of funding trafficking rings to help illegal migrants to reach the continent.

A London charity has been accused by the Greek government of funding human trafficking gangs who are smuggling migrants into Europe.
The Al-Khair Foundation, based in Croydon, south London, was accused of aiding the smugglers by Notis Mitarachi, the Greek minister for migration.
The charity has vehmently denied the claims against them.
The government minister told The Times the charity was part of a network that helped moved refugees from Somalia to Greece via Turkey.
Mr Mitarachi also said the Foundation funded a boat crossing from Turkey to Greece in which 34 Somali migrants drowned.
He said testimonies from surviving migrants to Greek authorities supported reports by the intelligence agency about the smuggling networks, and suggested the charity part funded the migrants' trafficking fees.
A spokesperson from the Al-Khair Foundation told Mail Online: 'We totally refute these unfounded allegations, which are based on the word of an unidentified man and haven't been investigated.
'Our only work in Turkey is an initiative, which provides emergency response exclusively for Middle East refugees through providing them with winter clothes, food packs and hygiene kits.
'Al-Khair Foundation did not fund any travel as is alleged and we are seeking urgent talks with the Greek authorities for clarification.'
The London charity is one of several accused of being part of the smuggling chain.
He also pointed a finger at a Norwegian charity and another five unnamed European aid agencies.
Under Greek law, helping an illegal migrant to enter the country is a criminal offence.
The country's many islands have seen thousands of migrants arrive on their shores in 2020.
UK-based Muslim charity Al-Khair Foundation was set up in 2003, with their website stating that over a decade the charity has delivered £165 million of aid, focusing on emergencies, health, water, education, women, livelihood and shelter.
Mr Mitarachi said the smuggling operation begins by obtaining student and healthcare visa loophole for Somalis who then fly to Turkey and are allowed to move freely.
The Greek minister told The Times: 'Contacts in Mogadishu facilitate transport to Istanbul, even paying for migrant airfare on Turkish Airlines.
'From there, migrants are transported to key points along the Turkish coast, working with aid groups to push them to islands like Lesbos.
'Contacts push them to Athens… then to Berlin, then to Calais, where they are stashed in a truck, ending up in London.'
Last month, Home Secretary Priti Patel hailed a £28million new agreement with her French counterpart aimed at curbing the number of migrants reaching the UK in small boats.
But the deal has not stopped people making it to UK shores. French authorities are refusing to intercept migrant boats heading for Britain once they are in the English Channel, despite the deal.
More than 8,500 migrants were estimated to have successfully entered the country this year - up from 1,850 last year.
It comes after it emerged yesterday criminal charges against 69 Albanian migrants found hiding in a trawler heading for Britain were dropped after a legal bungle.
The migrants were arrested last month after the fishing boat was intercepted off the coast of East Anglia in an operation involving the National Crime Agency, police and Border Force officers on November 17.
But plans to prosecute them for illegal entry to the UK had to be abandoned because when arrested, they had not yet set foot on British soil – a key criteria under the law.
Ms Patel last month detailed plans for new legislation to make it easier for judges to expel foreign criminals.
Her pledge drew criticism from human rights lawyers and it is unclear how the new laws will align with existing human rights legislation enshrined in UK law through the Human Rights Act 1998.

By the looks of it it was installed by JCDeceaux, I think ClearChannel is probaly only responsible for the content on the screens and posters. As such they may be responsible for the maintenance of the shelter.
It is in JCDs planning application when they installed the LED screen in 2015. its not something I made, it is in the document bundle on the Westminster Planning site

Apologies, I think the planning application was made in November 2016, The pictures don't look like winter, I would estimate they were taken about September 2016 if they were taken deliberately for this project.
The problem with this is that our military has had a structure that prevents all uprising.
The Officer class are traditionally upper class establishment and they command the lower infantry. So as long as these officers come from the wealthy gentrified classes there will be no hope for the people to have the army stand with the people, they are primarily the Queens army anyway, they vow to serve the crown, the crown is supposed to serve the people - this is where the corruption lies and something true republics dont suffer from.
This command structure has worked for the British army for centuries, it's an added layer of control and protects 'them'.
The thing is with Boris, even though he may be establishment and may have been controlled, if hew knew like we do that Nothing can stop what is coming, he has a simple choice to make, stick with them and get torn to shreds if he walks down the street, or he does the right thing and is treated and remembered as a hero for all time - regardless of outcome, he has been given an opportunity that other prime ministers could only have dreamed of, the opportunity to rid the world of evil.
I must admit to always kind of liking Boris, he is a bit eccentric and from a different walk of life than we are used too, I do hope he doesn't let us down.
I'm not too worried about the deal with the EU. I think we can see that the EU will be collapsing under its own evil corruption in the years following the Great Awakening, that's why I don't think an agreement is that important right now, you can see both sides have always been stalling things anyway which is why we are at the last minute and I don't think they have any idea when it is going to happen!

A while back I posted a theory I had that Christmas day would be an ideal day for the Storm, this would have been ideal as everyone is safely tucked up at home and they have plenty of supplies and it would have been an excellent gift to the world and bought the meaning of Christmas up to date with the modern world.
Well in the early hours there was the explosion in Tennessee, its obviously pinging on the radar as a false flag, there are some interesting things about it.
I saw that an Anon over in the general bread noticed the UK based Independent seemingly got news out about the explosion before it happened. also, the odd thing is the vehicle was giving out loud audible warnings which meant ultimately no one was killed.
Was this about ensuring that the fake news cycle had a mega story to talk about in the small chance that the storm descended? We should expect more of these.
