The [omnibus] spending bill [signed in March 2018] funds the government for the remainder of the fiscal year – through September 30.

If D's shutdown the gov't - what happens to the US MILITARY?

What specifically occurs?

Think budget.

Why is this relevant?

There is no budget for the next fiscal year, starting Oct. 1st.

Suppose there is no budget passed by then? Or it is vetoed? Trump said "never again".

So what happens to the government on 1 October, 2018?

Why is this relevant?

What can POTUS then do?

No, I DON'T have answers. Thats why I ask.

Trump is planning something, right? Timing is everything. A new congress minus the resigned will not be in place until January, 2019.

So what does a gov shutdown do or allow?

DOES ANYONE KNOW?!?!?
