Thanks for sharing that, anon. I've never seen anything from what may have been the shepherd's point of view. Beautiful, and brought tears.

To any entertainer people who read this: I challenge you to film the true Christmas story, not the one [they] have fed us. Example: the Magi were probably not three kings, but were priests of Zoroastrianism and the earlier religions of the western Iranians; Medes and Persians. They usually traveled in large caravans, and would have taken them many months to get to Jesus. They caused a great stir when they entered Jerusalem according to Luke.

Those details, right or wrong, dont change Who Jesus is, but it would be lovely to see the true story made with all the film tech available today.

Well, that's just sad, anon.

That said, you have been a victim of [them]. [They] have done to the Christmas account what [they've] done to every other part of the Scripture: appealed to natural human selfishness, and made it about man, not God.

The subject and focus of the Scripture is completely about Christ. None of it is about man other than our lost-ness and need for a Savior.

I will hand it to them, [they] and their father, Lucifer, are clever. They appealed to basic human greed by making Christmas about what a human can get out of it: worthless material goods, and they shifted the focus away from Christ' birth by waving new toys in front of little kids.

The ability to celebrate Christmas is in your spirit, anon, and it only comes thru Him. I hope you find it.

Scripture doesnt give the number who came. Historically, they traveled in large bands. Yes, Scripture calls them magi and kings, but magi were also proclaimers of kings, so honestly, no one really knows. It doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things, but it would nice if an account, as close to the original greek, could be filmed.

Luke says Herod, and all of Jerusalem, was disturbed when they entered the city = hence, why it is thought there may have been a huge caravan versus just 3. That said, it could have been 3 and all their staff and kit.
