7-2 is the vote count floating about yesterday. Don't know if that's just scuttlebutt or not.

 

There was a post a couple breads ago that made a point worth keeping in mind, more or less that the TX case was a Hail Mary, and not likely to have brought any meaningful redress, even if brought. I think Alito said, in a roundabout, yeah, it should have been heard, but nothing would have come of it. Pasquale (?), on with Bannon before the decision, predicted that. The case would not achieve the redress they hoped it would.

 

Other cases coming, especially MI, have more meat on the bones, Poster's take was, from a strict legal position, the 3 Trump noms voted properly, and therefore, also come out from under the suspicion of voting only Trump positions. This will give them cover on the more likely successful cases coming in.

 

MI, especially, is a hammer, the poster said.

 

TL;DR: hold your cards close to your vest, know when to fold 'em, and go all in on the cases that matter.

 

Not saying this is what happened. But the idea of the TX bill not being the hill to die on, while aiming for the solid cases, may hold water. Have to wait and see.
