Has to do with Rare Earth minerals. They don't want Chinese companies to have any competition. The Ruth Mine near Ely is full of it/them but the Gold Butte area makes it look like a drop in the pond. They have been doing this for years chasing off ranchers and taking ownership of their ranches. Bundy was the last one to be fucked then Obummer makes it a National Reserve or some shit. Nevada is a fucking gold mine from hell and most of it sits under Federal owned land with a fucking red tape nightmare to try to do anything. Also of note in this issue is the Navy grabbing all the land around Middle gate station, which is where about 20% of the really good rock hounds gather. There is more mineral knowledge there than in all the colleges combined.
