It's a good enough theory IF the DS were as stupid as they are often accused of being.
But I don't believe they are stupid. Undoubtedly some of the underlings are easily manipulated and therefore easily fooled, but top brass…. no. Calculating, well informed, dangerous.
So Barr and others do the leg work but pretend they did nothing? If strong cases come forward about DS players and there are solid convictions…. the remaining DSers are not going to believe Barr or indeed Sessions did nothing. So we're back to square one on the risk factors.
Yes Barr doing nothing could be another deception, like I believe Sessions was but DS leaders won't be fooled by any of those tricks if their people start falling.
