The JFK documentary by Colen McLaren looked at forensic shot patterns and decided the SS in the car behind him "accidentally" shot him in the back of the head after the first Oswald shot was fired. That would fit in with the clowns killing him. Also his brain is missing (Brad Meltzer's Lost History, season1) One speculation is that Robert took it to preserve it but its never been found. That would stop any further investigation on the shot that killed him.
