I would hope we would see a lot of these 'laser pointers' and not see the other activities.
Trump crushes them economically. They literally cannot survive with out us. They won't have work for the people. Most of the world will follow Trump, they will have no choice, so Chyna is squeezed. They can't feed their own population without food from us, the world cannot make up the slack.
There maybe some kinetics involved but don't think it will be total war (which by def is nukes).
Just my thoughts.
And the chyna army spends more time beating their meat than training.
