Not the same thing. Kings ruled by Divine Right but yet had debtors' prisons, disqualifying them as Divine in the first place.

Kind words and the rest of your comments are spot on, Anon. FWIW, I turned Catholic at the appropriate time in my life. Jesus said, 'Call no man on earth Father, for one is your Father in Heaven.' I joined 3 years after my biological father died, having attended Mass without receiving Communion. Not a big Church fan, but I do believe in the Mass itself and your criticisms about the Church are well known.
