New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ‘sexually harassed me for years,’ former staffer claims after blasting ‘toxic’ work environment

Democrat Lindsey Boylan has claimed NY Gov. Cuomo “sexually harassed” her for years while she worked in his administration, a work environment she previously described as “beyond toxic.”

“Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years. Many saw it, and watched,” Boylan, who is running for Manhattan borough president in 2021, wrote in one of a series of tweets on Sunday.

“I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years,” she said.

Boylan worked for Cuomo from March 2015 to October 2018 in a variety of roles, including deputy secretary for economic development, chief of staff, and executive vice president of Empire State Development.

Boylan, a Democrat, added that she “knows” she is not the only woman to face abuse under Cuomo.

Boylan previously described the work environment in Cuomo’s administration as “beyond toxic” and claimed she is in therapy because of it.

While the New York governor has been applauded by various celebrities and in media interviews for his leadership during the pandemic, he has also become a highly controversial figure for a number of reasons.

An early decision to force nursing homes to accept positive Covid-19 cases led to thousands of deaths, according to critics, and the governor’s decision to write and release a book about his leadership while his state remains under some of the most strict lockdown orders in the country has become a common point of criticism.

Hundreds of endangered seals mysteriously found dead on shores of Russia’s Caspian Sea, and nobody knows why

Disturbing images have emerged after 272 endangered Caspian seals were found washed up on the beaches of Dagestan. The mammal can only be found in the world’s largest inland body of water, which borders five Eurasian countries.

According to Rosrybolovstvo, the Federal Agency for Fishery, 272 carcasses were found on beaches from a settlement called Sulak in the north of the republic, all the way south to the border with Azerbaijan. The agency also noted that the seals are listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

When the first carcasses were discovered, the Caspian Nature Conservation Center director, Zaur Gapizov, pointed out that the mammals are threatened by small-meshed Chinese-made plastic nets used by poachers, and vast amounts of untreated wastewater that gets pumped into the lake.

A group of scientists has since landed in Dagestan, including from the Moscow-based Russian Academy of Sciences, and will conduct an investigation into the cause of the deaths. Other theories put forth by experts include unfavorable weather conditions, the rapid spread of a disease, or dirty water.

The Caspian Sea is the world’s largest lake, bordering Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan. Best known for its caviar and oil, it is home to many animals that are not found anywhere else.

Dagestan is located around 1,500km south of Moscow, most famous worldwide for being a majority-Muslim region with many skilled MMA fighters.

Earlier this year, hundreds of marine animals were found on the shores of Russia’s far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula, 6,500km east of Dagestan. Locals reported discovering dead fish, shrimps, and crabs on the beaches of Avacha Bay. Kamchatka is famous for its pristine nature and is included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

NBC News reports evidence of alleged Hunter Biden corruption, gets flooded with excuses why it’s not newsworthy

An email seen by NBC News indicates that Hunter Biden failed to pay taxes on profit from his Ukrainian board position. NBC was bombarded with comments explaining how the story is probably false and still irrelevant, if true.

According to the broadcaster, the son of presumed President-elect Joe Biden may have failed to include in his tax returns the $400,000 he received from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma in 2014. This is a conclusion from an email, received by NBC, which was sent to Hunter Biden in 2017 by his business partner, Eric Schwerin, who was then the president of Rosemont Seneca Partners.

“In 2014 you joined the Burisma board and we still need to amend your 2014 returns to reflect the unreported Burisma income,” the email dated January 16, 2017 said as cited by NBC News.

Hunter Biden joined Burisma in 2014, shortly after the ousting of Ukraine’s president at the time Viktor Yanukovich, with the Obama administration showing its support to the protesters. Then-Vice President Joe Biden is considered to be the mastermind behind policy on Ukraine at the time.

Before getting the well-paid gig, Hunter Biden had no background in energy or Eastern European affairs – something that didn’t stop Burisma from hiring him to take a board position.

The Trump administration claimed that Joe Biden had later abused his government office to lean on Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and have him fire a prosecutor, who was investigating Burisma. Biden shared publicly how he pressured the Ukrainian leader, but insisted it was done to get rid of a corrupt Ukrainian official. The incumbent US president was impeached this year at the Democrat-controlled House for asking Poroshenko’s successor to investigate the allegations of impropriety.

The NBC news story comes with a caveat: the email comes from a trove of documents recovered from a laptop that Hunter Biden allegedly left in a Delaware repair shop and which became the centerpiece of a censorship scandal shortly before the November 3 presidential election. The laptop and its contents were reported by the New York Post, but many other US media outlets dismissed it as a likely piece of “Russian disinformation” and refused to cover it.

Night Of Chaos: 4 Stabbed, 23 Arrested After Proud Boys & Antifa Clash in Washington

Clashes between right-wing Proud Boys and left-wing Antifa were seen Saturday after the second "Million MAGA March."

At least four people were stabbed near the intersection of 11th Street and F Street. WUSA9 reported that the stabbing victims were taken to "hospitals in the area with critical injuries."

Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia also reported law enforcement officers were hurt during the clashes. It was reported that police arrested at least 23 individuals.

According to The Epoch Times, "It is unclear which authorities arrested individuals, but videos by reporters on the scene show alleged Proud Boys protesters and "counter-protesters" arrested and escorted into police vans."

The chaos between Proud Boys and Antifa was caught on video.

Clashes between both groups intensified into the night.

"However, as night fell, the sides splintered into smaller groups and began roaming the streets of downtown Washington, picking fights with their rivals, pepper-spraying each other, and getting pepper-sprayed by the cops," RT News said.

Celebrating the Death Penalty for Pedophile Murderers.

Activists gathered at the risibly renamed Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, D.C. last night, protesting the death penalty for Alfred Bourgeois. Because of course liberals and race-baiters would take the side of a man who sexually tortured and then brutally murdered his own two-year-old child.

Bourgeois, 55 at the time of his execution this week, was convicted in 2004 for physically and emotionally torturing, sexually molesting, and beating his daughter to death.

CBS reminds us of his grisly actions:

…Bourgeois whipped the girl with an electrical cord, burned her feet with a cigarette lighter and hit her in the head with a plastic baseball bat so hard that her head swelled, then refused to seek medical treatment for her, court documents say. Prosecutors also said he sexually abused her.

Her toilet training allegedly enraged Bourgeois and he would sometimes force her to sleep on a training toilet.

It was during a trucking run to Corpus Christi, Texas, that he ended up killing the toddler. Again angered by her toilet training, he grabbed her inside the truck by her shoulders and slammed her head on the windows and dashboard four times, court filings say.

“It should not have taken 18 years to receive justice for our angel,” the girl’s family said as the man’s life was finally snuffed out by lethal injection.

But that hasn’t stopped the left attempting to ride to his rescue. Apparently his daughter – known in court documents as ‘JG’ – wasn’t the black life that mattered here. The pedophilic murderer’s was.

The only true injustice is that it took the state so long to enforce the death penalty.

The informal federal execution moratorium – since 2003 – has meant many families failed to see justice delivered for nearly 20 years. Now it is finally being meted out, leftists activists and the media are portraying it as “racist.”

What such people are actually saying is that murder, pedophilia, or even low IQ (the latest “defense” of Bourgeois) are predominantly qualities found within Black America: an offensive, moronic, and racist argument in and of itself.

University 'cancels' author of essay who criticized references to Jill Biden as 'Dr': 'Sounds and feels fraudulent'

The author of an opinion essay that criticized references to Jill Biden, the wife of media-declared president-elect Joe Biden, as a "Dr." was summarily canceled from his associations with Northwestern University.

Joseph Epstein, an author who was previously a lecturer at Northwestern, argued in an essay for the Wall Street Journal that Jill Biden should not receive the honorary title because her doctorate is neither in medicine nor science, but in education.

In his essay — which was titled, "Is There a Doctor in the White House? Not if You Need an M.D." — Epstein wrote:

Madame First Lady—Mrs. Biden—Jill—kiddo: a bit of advice on what may seem like a small but I think is a not unimportant matter. Any chance you might drop the "Dr." before your name? "Dr. Jill Biden" sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic. Your degree is, I believe, an Ed.D., a doctor of education, earned at the University of Delaware through a dissertation with the unpromising title "Student Retention at the Community College Level: Meeting Students' Needs." A wise man once said that no one should call himself "Dr." unless he has delivered a child. Think about it, Dr. Jill, and forthwith drop the doc.

After all, Epstein went on to argue, the process of earning a Ph.D. is not as strenuous as it once was, therefore it is not deserving of the same prestige.

"The Ph.D. may once have held prestige, but that has been diminished by the erosion of seriousness and the relaxation of standards in university education generally, at any rate outside the sciences," Epstein wrote.

How did Northwestern respond?

Epstein's essay was circulated widely on Saturday, generating a tsunami of backlash, both against Epstein, who was accused of being sexist, and against the Wall Street Journal, which was criticized for publishing Epstein's opinion.

Northwestern also received criticism — likely because Epstein identified himself as having "taught at Northwestern University for 30 years" — and the university eventually responded.

In a statement, the Chicago-area university distanced itself from any associations with Epstein, calling his views "misogynistic."

"Joseph Epstein was never a tenured professor at Northwestern and has not been a lecturer here since 2002," the university said.

"While we firmly support academic freedom and freedom of expression, we do not agree with Mr. Epstein's opinion and believe the designation of doctor is well deserved by anyone who has earned a Ph.D., an Ed.D. or an M.D.," the statement continued. "Northwestern is firmly committed to equity, diversity and inclusion, and strongly disagrees with Mr. Epstein's misogynistic views."

Northwestern also removed Epstein's profile from its website. Earlier on Saturday, Epstein was identified as an "emeritus lecturer" at Northwestern.

Bank of England warns of possible disruptions to UK’s financial system after Brexit

The Bank of England said on Friday that the UK's banking system remains resilient to a wide range of possible economic outcomes due to Brexit but the end of transition period on 31 December might bring disruptions.

According to a report by the bank’s Financial Policy Committee (FPC), most risks to financial stability have been mitigated. It said, however, that “Financial stability is not the same as market stability or the avoidance of any disruption to users of financial services. Some market volatility and disruption to financial services, particularly to EU-based clients, could arise.”

The report added that despite preparations for the end of the transition period now being in their final stages, it might be the case that some users are not yet fully ready to trade with European Union (EU) counterparts “or on EU or EU-recognised trading venues.”

The UK left the EU on January 31, but as part of the withdrawal agreement, both sides entered an 11-month transition period to negotiate their future commercial relations.

According to the FPC’s report, irrespective of the particular form of the UK’s future relationship with the European bloc, the Bank of England “will remain committed to the implementation of robust prudential standards in the UK.”
