Valerie Biden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Biden of Wilmington, Del., was married yesterday morning to John T. Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Owens of Garden City and Westhampton Beach, L. I.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Robert Keck, a Roman Catholic priest, in the chapel at the Church Center of the United Nations. After the ceremony the wedding party boarded the tugboat, Jane McAllister, for a cruise around Manhattan. A reception was held at the Carlyle.
Maureen M. Greco was matron of honor and R. Kevin Owens, the bridegroom's brother, was best man.
The bride served as campaign manager for her brother, Senator Joe Biden, the Delaware Democrat, in 1972. She graduated from the University of Delaware and formerly taught social studies at the Wilmington Friends School.
Mr. Owens is a partner in the Wilmington law firm of Walsh, Monzack & Owens. He was formerly depuy attorney general of Pennsylvania. He was graduated from Holy Cross College and Syracuse University College of Law.
