Dunno, its a mystery. I was the one saying, what the hell 'standing' does one state have to sue another because those states didn't follow the rules? Texas following their own rules should be all that concerns them. But most anons and twat scholars were like "no, this is definitely the strongest avenue for a SCOTUS overturn."
So who the hell knows. It looks like the court is as political as any other govt. entity unfortunately. There could be a secret strategy with it as you say, but I doubt if we will ever know.
