Just so everyone recalls, Barr was also a partner at Kirkland & Ellis. No one need be singled out for special opprobrium: the whole system in DC is damned. If you survive in that environment for decades, as the senior partners at these top law firms have survived, it’s because you know how the game is played and you have the ability to outmaneuver others. To some extent, enlisting the experience and savoir faire of these folks is necessary in the DC environment. I’ve no doubt that Barr has delivered more than we’re aware of, for reasons that we might never know. That will probably be true of those Barr brought in before this is over. Not all DC lawyers are as bad as the worst, although none with any longevity are less than very clever backstabbing scoundrels.

It alarming how many fail to grasp that essential point: a revolution is a war against the nation. There’s no court ever devised that could issue an effective restraint against a determined enemy. The legal suits have all been for optics - wins would be nice, but no basis for a strategy of victory. This is not just another 4 year election. It’s an all out assault against the American Republic and under President Trump the full resources of the America Republic will be used to defeat it.

Not because it’s disrespectful, but to avoid the appearance of impropriety. And because it can be compromising - with no witnesses present, anything might be alleged at some later date. Women have been known to lie about such things.
