I believe an email draft is never sent. It just stays in your draft box. As I understand it, others would just log in and add to the draft, in order for others to then log in and read it. It would be saved on the server, but never sent.

agree, since it is most likely a network drive. I had to testify in a deposition once, and my employer's atty's had a binder full of every single email I ever rec'd/sent, in order to prep.
