It’s amazing how many are swayed by the gaslighting, though. And today, in a world where non entities are person of the year and a granny killer gets a neck full of gongs instead of a noose, Ed Wood would have swept the board at the Oscars.

I don’t read that at all. The only financial references serve to show that the McCain campaign was not flush with cash.

The whole memo is strangely worded, though. It states that the McCain campaign expects to pick up white, suburban women over 40 if Obama wins the nomination, which they claim they can’t afford to pursue at the time of writing. But then the memo indicates a number of ways in which the McCain campaign was assisting HRC’s primary run.

The memo is obviously a stage in an ongoing conversation between people who knew what the strategy, priorities, and constraints were. I can’t get too excited by 2008 unless it’s really juicy.
