I don't think there is anything wrong with chewing people out, especially if it's appropriate. I would think if your Italian boss screamed at you for dirty dishes the exact same way as this asshat just did, then you should have dumped a bowl of spaghetti on his head and left. Hopefully it was several decibels lower and about 2 minutes quicker.
All we know is these people "violated covid protocol". Since we don't know exactly what that means, we can't know if this tirade was appropriate. But, if it was because the gaffer was three feet from the camera man, then, I'm going to go with this guy deserves any canceling coming his way
