Why there should be a MAXIMUM WAGE instead of a MINIMUM wage.
It's obvious the minimum wage is a cancer on the economy and needs to be eliminated, but what's not so obvious is that we need a maximum wage to replace it.
The reason for it is because we need greater incentives for entrepreneurship.
Minimum wage apologists like to say any worker should be able to live off a wage. I not only think that's false, I believe precisely the opposite is true: NO ONE should EVER be able to make a living based just on wages. That's because if that's possible, then there's not enough incentive to actually invest and/or start businesses.
We can't have an economy based on workers, we need an economy based on entrepreneurs. That will in turn create more jobs and start a virtuous cycle of growth, instead of stagnating.
