Inclimate weather most staff of all of DC won't be going to work, routine day. Nothing gets done between now and Jan 5 or so. This is "use or lose" yachtzee. Federal employees can only carry forward 240 hours of Annual leave (vacation hours accrued) or lose the excess. EVERYBODY saves them up for this time of year and to extend other 3 day weekends.
