Since 11-22-1963 the USA has been a coup state.
Huge amount of the cast was British. The first voice heard (C3PO) was British. Obi Wan was British. The guy in the Darth suit was British. And he was in Clockwork Orange too. The guy in the wookie suit was British (Mayhew). I didn't even know about Boba Fett. Considering it was the biggest movie of all time, it was so easy for British children to connect with it.
