I've been thinking about this. Not quite in the way you talk about it. Just real quick, there is one God - the air you breath, the world you live on, the water you drink - God made all of that.
So back to the other point though. I feel, in our time, that people like Gates and Zuckerberg are the false gods. The myths about how they started their companies and the movies about them. They and people like them have a tremendous amount of power, but they are not God. Like Zeus is not God.
But those are your choices to make, not mine. I've made my choice.
