Veterans should receive an exemption. EO should be done stating that an active, retired, VA ID card or DD214 with RE1 nullifies NFA for veterans.
Militia comes up with training plan to certify citizens so they can get NFA items.
Rename bases after GWOT casualties. Give those that fought beside them the opportunity to choose the names. Leave the front gate as the original name.
I.e FT Benning could be FT Cashe and main gate Benning Gate.
