He didn't really deny he's going to do it. Maggie specifically said it had been ruled out. So…what is the fake news here? That he was considering it or that it has been ruled out? Up to

I would see Executive Order first. When the heat in that kitchen gets hot enough then the DS sends out their bad actors. POTUS invokes the insurrection act (hopefully before Jan 5 Senate race or he just suspends that). Only if things get super bad does he invoke ML. Still, Maggie Haberman's reporting said that Martial Law had been ruled out, so I don't know if POTUS is saying that it's fake news he was considering martial law or fake news that it has been ruled out.
Insurrection act says "Any other means". He could just seize their assets and keep them from doin' jack. He's got enough on bad actors in the government as well as the media and social media to do a lot there. Martial Law will come if they don't cotton to behaving under that scenario.
