ABOUT US

 

Sue Dintelman and Tim Maness have been working on family data record linking projects for over 30 years. They were the technical staff for the Utah Population Database Project at the University of Utah which built a genealogy of Utah for use ingenetics researchin the early 1980’s.

 

Since then they have builtgenealogies for other bio-tech companies,the largest being over 30 million individuals. Since founding Pleiades Software Development, Inc. (PSD), they have developed GenMerge, the Genealogy Merge Utility, for the genealogy market and GenMergeDB for larger population reconstitution projects.

 

PSD has been involved in dozens of record linking projects from reconstituting a single small village in Italy from church baptism, marriage and death records to linking complete US and Canadian censuses.

Record linkage is also used to reconstitute populations for use by genealogists, geneticists and social scientists. Our record linking software, called GenMergeDB, was developed over more than 25 years especially for these types of projects. Given digitized historical documents in a variety of formats, GenMergeDB can be used to match records across files to give a more complete picture of individuals over time. GenMergeDB can be licensed, but also forms the basis of our record linking services.

WH Advent COMMS Dec 20th: 2 Flags in LOOKING GLASS

 

For more than 50 years, one of the most beloved White House Christmas traditions has been the display of elaborate gingerbread houses made by the White House pastry kitchen.

 

This year’s Gingerbread House, a delicious masterpiece displayed on the iconic eagle pier table, replicates the West Wing, Executive Residence, East Wing, and—for the first time—the Rose Garden and the First Ladies’ Garden. Constructed from 275 pounds of gingerbread dough, 110 pounds of pastillage dough, 30 pounds of gum paste, 25 pounds of chocolate, and 25 pounds of royal icing. The White House pastry team took extra care in making sure that every detail, down to the smallest blossom, paid homage to “America the Beautiful.”
