Take Powell's lawsuit regarding defamation. Their campaign against smartmatic and dominion have more or less guaranteed that there will be riots if those machines are used in a U.S. state, again - their only avenue as a company is to file a defamation suit whether they want to or not. It is the only path forward that they have as a company.
Now - where will that case go… Who knows. People like Barnes think Wood and powell are about to get hammered and disbarred from the courts. I am one who wonders if they are really so foolish as to have no idea what they are doing.
This is also coming along right alongside revelations that someone has been deep inside government systems and microsoft services. Reminiscent of GrayFish and the Equation Group's work, frankly. And the only reason they got caught is because they left a calling card to say: "sorry you missed us, xoxoxoxo" and that is when people flipped shit and caught the chinese coming through the suspiciously unlocked door with a few other actors who poked their dicks in to see what it felt like.
You look back at the ban on the use of Kaspersky - who has the most experience tracking and countering the Equation Group (No Such Agency - no, they are not the NSA, but come from it on occasion) - and I would say that we took out the system most likely to detect and counter whatever our guys had on our own government's systems.
