Agreed, it's quite a contradiction.. However just less than half of the country voted to remain in the EU so there are plenty of clueless people who prefer to be told what to do by unelected communists hellbent on controlling their every move without realising they're being controlled..
Now they're told that everything being down is 'for their safety' so they automatically consent to 'being kept safe' from a political flu..

It's an interesting comparison though. I still think Boris is biding his time until Trump is ready make his move whereas Krankie is really pushing extreme measures to control the Scots and push the remain agenda..
I think it comes for their belief that government is keeping them safe.. Everything is about keeping 'you safe' here now. The adverts don't advertise their products, they advertise their social distance and hand sanitising policies instead..
