Watched the Portland livestream. Some thoughts:

Could be a dress rehearsal for 1.6

Great to see Patriots engaging.

The guy who tried to win over the cops. Nice try. Good arguments. Gave them something to think about but not enough to get them to switch over. Maybe over time. Or next time they call in sick. I liked that he said they should contact their union. Main argument was that they were acting against their oath to God to protect the Constitution, not to contravene it. They are siding with the Tyrants. They are collaborators.

There was some conflict which resulted in shots being fired and a couple of Patriots got hurt. But not serious injuries, just scars to show the Grandkids. But it was the shot heard round the world. LEOs firing on Patriots who were peacefully exercising their God-given right to protest. 1A

I think the protest was about lockdowns but frankly it wasn’t clear.

Following the shots the Patriots were regrouping. One guy worked the megaphone well, rallying We the People.

Loved the spontaneous Pledge of Allegiance. Stirred the heart.

What really baked everybody’s bagel was that as if on cue an eagle appeared. It announced its presence with its distinctive ‘caw’.

Mind-blowing.

Momentum continued. The hoarding around some statues at the front entrance were hoarded up and the area was surrounded by construction fencing. Was that tactical. Limit the ability to enter.

Only side entrances were accessible. Very close quarters. Difficult to storm.

The hoardings were methodically dismantled. Noice!

Loved when the flag was raised at the front entrance. I think there was a second PoA.

Creates a duplicatable gesture. Raise flags across the country. I think someone we know has suggested that numerous times. Plant the Flag. Mount Suribachi.

There was a missed opportunity.

The Patriots were not allowed in to the building, they were thwarted in that effort.

The Mirror would have been to not let them out. To barricade the doors.

There was material at hand and the accessible entrances could be easily contained with a barricade using the construction fencing, parking a vehicle in front, chaining the doors shut, etc. Over time the barricades could be made more impenetrable. Barbed wire comes to mind.

Would need to determine if there are escape tunnels that would also need to be sealed off.

It would certainly be a shame if then the water and power suddenly went out.

Now imagine doing that at Capitol Hill.

Just lock them in. Establish a siege.

Then go from there.

It was an amazing day. Like being at Lexington.

USA! USA! USA!
