This is Powell’s 3rd visit to the White House in the last 4 days.

President Trump on Monday also huddled with GOP lawmakers for several hours and discussed contesting the electoral college vote because of massive Democrat voter fraud.

According to reports, Trump met with several members of Congress including Matt Gaetz and Mo Brooks.

The left-wing media went crazy over the weekend after it was revealed (leaked) that Sidney Powell and General Flynn were in the Oval Office discussing Trump’s strategy on turning the election around after the Democrats committed massive voter fraud in a few key battleground states.

Sidney Powell reportedly met with Trump in Oval Office Friday evening where the President discussed naming Powell as special counsel to investigate massive Democrat voter fraud that took place in the 2020 election.

US Border Patrol Makes Colossal Meth Interception Worth $37M

2 Dead After Plane Crashes Near Highway In Grand Prairie, Texas

Two people were killed after a small plane crashed near Highway 360 in Grand Prairie, Texas Monday afternoon.

Around 3:00 p.m. local time, the Grand Prairie Fire Department (GPFD) responded to the plane crash in the 2900 block of S. Highway 360. Two fatalities were confirmed. The identities were not released.

Reports indicate the plane was traveling from Denton, Texas, stopped at the Grand Prairie Municipal Airport, and crashed minutes after takeoff.

A pickup truck was struck as the plane attempted to land; the passenger of the truck was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other structures were involved.

Oregon State Police declared an anti-lockdown protest at the Capitol in Salem to be an unlawful assembly on Monday, after demonstrators stormed the building as lawmakers met for a special legislative session.

Protesters broke doors and some pushed their way into the locked building, leading to arrests.

Fox News reported that the "Reopen Oregon" protest occurred during a single-day session where legislators met to vote on coronavirus-related measures after Gov. Kate Brown (D) issued an extension of Oregon's state of emergency from Jan. 2 to March 3.

According to Oregon Public Broadcasting:

The Oregon State Police declared an unlawful assembly as a growing number of protesters pushed their way through the Capitol doors chanting, "let us in" and "arrest Kate Brown." Police officers donned gas masks as they squared off with protesters, some of whom carried firearms and bear spray, and many of whom were not wearing masks. Among the protesters were members of Patriot Prayer, a far-right group based in Vancouver, Washington, that attracts white supremacists and has engaged in violence.

While entering the building, protestors used chemical agents and bear spray against officers. At least two people were arrested after a smaller group of protestors were successful in entering a portion of the Capitol building. Outside protesters banged their fists against the doors chanting, "Let us in."

KGW-TV reported that the bills set for consideration during the special session included "a proposed eviction moratorium that includes $200 million in relief for landlords and tenants, a restaurant relief package that includes a provision legalizing cocktails to-go, a bill that would protect schools from some coronavirus-related lawsuits and a measure that would transfer $600 million in to the state's emergency fund for COVID-19 and wildfire-response and recovery."

Purdue Pharma Owners Were Wary Of Lawsuits Before Moving $10 Billion From Company

The Sackler family, owners of Purdue Pharma LP, have been front and center in the nation's opioid crisis over the last decade. The crisis has taken over 450,000 lives since 1999 and prescription drugs like OxyContin and fentanyl have been the culprit in many cases.

Purdue Pharma, maker of OxyContin, has been in the midst of bankruptcy proceedings that resulted from a legal onslaught which culminated in an $8 billion settlement with the DOJ and criminal charges for misconduct relating to opioids. The Sackler family paid $225 million to settle civil claims.

New documents that have been made available during bankruptcy proceedings show the family had discussed the potential for litigation exposure as early as 2007, which Reuters noted was a full decade before the company stopped making significant financial transfers from the company totaling $10 billion - a move lawyers for creditors may allege was to shield assets. The company now faces roughly 3,000 legal actions.

President-elect Joe Biden announced Monday that he will appoint Joelle Gamble, who previously worked as a principal at the social-change investment firm funded by liberal billionaire Pierre Omidyar, as a top economic adviser.

Gamble, who left her role at the Omidyar Network (ON) to work on domestic economic policy for the Biden-Harris transition team, will serve as special assistant to the president for economic policy, a job on the National Economic Council.

That role may be informed by her previous work as a principal at the network's "reimagining capitalism" project, an Elizabeth Warren-esque endeavor that maintains that "capitalism can still be a powerful force for good" but that "the current form of capitalism is fundamentally broken."

Gamble's appointment means that an economic progressive will have the president's ear as he seeks to revitalize the post-COVID economy. It also forges a connection between the Biden administration and Omidyar, who has funneled millions to left-leaning activist groups, including those run by other Biden appointees, and is a major funder of groups opposed to President Donald Trump.

Neither the Biden Transition Team nor the Omidyar Network responded to requests for comment.

Gamble joined the Omidyar Network last June, following her graduation from Princeton's graduate program in economics. In that role, she was a frequent public commentator on what she saw as the injustices and inequities of capitalism, writing in the left-wing magazine Dissent, for example, that "our measure of economic security is based on white economic security." Reporting her involvement with the Biden transition in October, the Washington Examiner described her as "represent[ing] the left wing of the Democratic Party within Biden's economic team."

She honed those positions at ON, a social-change investor that operates as both an LLC and a 501(c)3 nonprofit, allowing it to invest in both for-profit and non-profit ventures.

ON operates several major projects across its portfolio of over $100 million in outstanding grants. That includes Gamble's "reimagining capitalism," which aims to restructure capitalist society around principles that include "an explicitly anti-racist and inclusive economy" and "rebalanc[ing] the relationship between markets, governments, and communities."

Australian managing partner of McKinsey regrets consultancy's role during opioid epidemic

A damaging exposé has revealed how international consulting firm McKinsey & Company tried to pump up sales of an addictive painkiller during the opioid epidemic.

Key points:

Consultancy firm McKinsey advised Purdue Pharma on how to increase the market share of its painkiller, OxyContin, at the height of the opioid crisis

Its advice included offering rebates for OxyContin overdoses

A McKinsey Australia spokesperson acknowledged a Zoom meeting was held after the revelations, saying it was part of a commitment to consider broader societal impacts of the firm's work

After the news broke in The New York Times, the firm was in damage control and it sought to explain itself to its Australian workforce.

On a Monday earlier this month, Australian employees of McKinsey received an email titled "NY Times Article" from the firm's head, Angus Dawson.

"I'm going to schedule a session on Thursday at 6pm on Friday for anyone who wants to join a zoom," the email read.

On the Zoom call, McKinsey's Australian managing partner, Mr Dawson, urged Australian workers to put the scandal in perspective.

He asked staff to try to put themselves in the shoes of the consultants who made the recommendations.

He said he wished they had not accepted the job and "wouldn't in the future".

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has reportedly unfollowed the accounts of President Trump and President-elect Joe Biden on his social media platform.

Dorsey also stopped following Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and Ivanka Trump’s account, according to the Twitter account @BigTechAlert, which monitors activity of tech leaders.

Since Nov. 17, Trump has lost 368,743 followers on Twitter, according to Factba.se, a website that tracks Trump’s public statements and tweets.

Biden, meanwhile, in the same time frame, gained roughly 2.5 million followers on the social media platform.

During his presidency, Trump has been extremely active on Twitter, issuing quick statements from the account, insulting opponents and even announcing policy decisions from the platform.

Once Biden takes office, Twitter has said Trump will lose certain protections granted to world leaders, subjecting him to the same rules as ordinary users.
