I am digging today on following what key players were doing around election and right after. Since they didn't expect Hilary to lose, there must have been quite a few unexpected meetings, trips etcetera.

John Kerry is my primary focus so far. He was on Antarctica trip on election day, but that was planned before they know she would lose.

In order for Trump to even consider him he would have had to have some guarantee that a congressional exception would be granted, yet no one ever spoke if anything like this.
