In an interview with Newsy on Tuesday, Dr. Deborah Birx, coordinator of the White House COVID-19 response, said she plans to retire after criticism following a recent family trip to Delaware. Dr. Birx added that she will aid President-elect Joe Biden’s team with its COVID-19 response as needed.
