He came out of a battle. Red Cross was there giving black soldiers (who according to him were lazy and didn't fight) free cigarettes and things. They passed the white soldiers by. And when approached, they charged the white soldiers for what they were giving the blacks for free. Obviously I can't sauce it. But he hated them
