Maybe there's a photoshop forum where the (cropped) picture can be dropped and let them take a swing? Maybe even challenge a mfr.? (Can your noise reduction program resolve this fuzzy name?). If they can, post it and some of us will buy copies.
If we can get it down to just a couple letters missing, other tools can be brought to bear.
If all else fails, coild take that font and intentionally blur it to see what matches, Just print the whole alphabet in same font, weight, color, background and blur.
Just hate to leave it hanging...
