Knowing the DOJ is absolutely corrupt, how does anyone continue to support the death penalty?

I suppose you could argue that killing a small percentage of innocent people is the price you pay to ensure the guilty are punished.

However, I'd argue the opposite. It's not worth killing even one innocent person. Ending the death penalty to prevent the killing of even one innocent person is the morally correct position. We can remove the guilty from society without killing innocent people in the process.
