General Flynn, I wish you a happy birthday, sir.

We could have used the $600, sir. We could have used the $2,000. But even if it were $3,000 a month, tax free, we would have to turn it down. That is too much burden to place on future generations … and the foreign aid is absolutely offensive. We send other nations money to build border walls but corrupt and subversive elements within our own government wish to keep us defenseless. Foreign aid is given from our excess, not in the midst of our want. There should not be a single American living on the sidewalk who is willing to put in a days work for something a little better today and the hope of a brighter future tomorrow.

That's probably what my grandparents said … but here we are, swimming in debt still and while Q says that there is enough gold, I remain unconvinced.

The situation we are in was baked into the original math of compound interest and fractional reserve lending. We can't collapse the banks without collapsing the entire world.

Until those two evils of mathematical certainty ore disposed of, digital currency is just as doomed as any other.

Folks DO understand fiat currency. They understand that if you don't have any, you can't buy a loaf of bread. They KNOW it's essentially worthless, but as long as the baker continues to accept it they are willing to continue playing along.

One meter in diameter and weighs 10 tons? If it's a sphere, we have nothing to fear from Chinese scientists. One meter is just over a yard and even if made of solid lead, would not weigh 10 tons.
